Drop Bury Technician

Responsibilities:

• Providing Installation/replacement of new lines.
• Digging up existing direct bury drops for repair.
• Maintaining all tools, vehicles, and equipment according to company policies.
• Showcasing superior customer service as needed.
• Performing and submitting weekly vehicle inspections and following vehicle maintenance service schedules.

What to expect:

• Working outdoors in all types of weather and environments including near residential homes and businesses.
• Physically demanding work that includes a great deal of digging, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, and lifting.
• Traveling, sitting, or standing for extended periods of time.
• Covering a very large area, on average 6-10 walk-out stops a day.
• Hours may vary but are usually Monday - Friday between an 8 am-5 pm time frame. Some evening work is required since afternoon appointments can run long.

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and background check without any criminal charges, DUIs, or illicit substances.
• Able to work full time with an open flexible schedule and willing to work weekends, overtime, and holidays when necessary to meet the system demands.
• Comfortably and safely work at height (28’+) and/or in small confined areas as needed.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
• Assume full responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of a company vehicle, equipment, and tools.
