Supervisor, Underground Utility/ Construction

Requirements

• Showcase superior customer service, communication, and leadership skills.
• Perform and/or direct the performance of all requests: The Installation/replacement of new cable lines or the digging up of existing direct bury drops for repair; ensuring that work performed in these areas is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience.
• Perform general prescreening for all requests, communicating with management, partners, and property owners regarding issues, project completion timelines, and workload priorities.
• Obtaining permits and maintaining compliance with the State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.
• Document work performance and materials procurement as directed, using the work order system while maintaining all proper documentation in an organized manner.
• Recognizing danger, safety, and damage hazards and proposing methods to eliminate them.
• Assume full responsibility for the safe operation and maintenance of all company vehicles, equipment, and tools for your team. Performing and submitting weekly vehicle inspections and following the company vehicle maintenance service schedules.

What to expect:

• Working outdoors in all types of weather and environments including near residential homes and businesses.
• Physically demanding work that includes a great deal of digging, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, climbing, and lifting.
• Traveling, sitting, or standing for extended periods of time.
• Covering a very large area, on average 6-10 walk-out stops a day.
• Dayshift, Monday through Friday; Some Saturday work may be required during peak season.

Qualifications

• Tech Savvy with 2-3 years of Construction/ Utility/ Telecom leadership experience preferred.
• Must be self-motivated and can work independently or in a team setting.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR.
• Ability to pass pre-employment screening and background check without any criminal charges, DUIs, or illicit substances.
• Able to work full time with an open flexible schedule and willing to work weekends, overtime, and holidays when necessary to meet the system demands.
• Willing to travel locally, statewide, or regionally as required.
